About Yeah Nah Tradies

Yeah Nah Tradies was born from a simple idea.

Every time I looked for something funny or meaningful to wear that celebrated the tradie life, it either didn't exist, looked like it was designed by someone who'd never been within a kilometre of a job site, or was so watered down it could've been made for anyone.

So I thought, yeah nah, I'll do it myself.

But There Was Something More Important Than Just Shirts

Here's where it gets a bit more serious — and I make no apology for that.

The more I thought about this brand, the more I kept coming back to something that's been sitting heavy on a lot of us in the trades. The stats are brutal and I'm not going to sugarcoat them — construction workers are 70% more likely to take their own lives than workers in other industries. Over half of tradies say skills shortages and physical injuries are smashing their mental wellbeing.

These are people I know. People you know. Guys who show up every single day, crack jokes over smoko, and quietly carry more than anyone realises.

The tough it out culture in the trades is real. And it's costing lives.

I couldn't build a brand that celebrated tradie culture and just ignore that. It didn't feel right. So from day one I made a decision — $2 from every single sale goes directly to mental health organisations supporting Australian tradies and blue collar workers.

It's not a massive amount. But it adds up. And more than the dollars, I want Yeah Nah Tradies to be a brand that makes it just a little bit easier to talk about this stuff. Even if it starts with a funny shirt that gets someone laughing and ends with a conversation that needed to happen.

I'm just a guy who loves the trades, loves a good laugh, and reckons Australia's hardest workers deserve better gear and better support.

I spent a serious amount of time researching materials, testing products, and finding print facilities that actually deliver quality you'll notice.
